About SherpaX:

As the canary network of ChainX, SherpaX will launch all the technical applications that will be launched on ChainX first. The main technology is divided into two aspects:

1. Taproot threshold signature technology

During the Bitcoin cross-chain process, the user’s assets will be kept by the multi-signature address established by the custodians. ChainX has implemented the threshold signature technology using Taproot. But before it is officially applied, this current world’s best multi-signature technology needs to be tested on the SherpaX network.

2. Add smart contract functions to Bitcoin to achieve scalability

The SherpaX network supports the deployment of smart contracts in virtual machines and execution environments such as WebAssembly (Wasm) and EVM. Ethereum, BSC, Polkadot and other ecological applications can be migrated and deployed on the SherpaX network to implement smart contracts using Bitcoin as a protocol layer token.

SherpaX Schedule:

December 22, 2021：

SherpaX testnet went live.

January 1, 2022：

SherpaX public beta will be released. Users can experience the Bitcoin cross-chain deposit and cross-chain withdrawal process.

January 15, 2022：

SherpaX mainnet will be launched.

The first quarter of 2022：

Subswap will be launched, supporting all tokens based on Substrate code, such as MINI, PCX, KSX, etc.
